Daily Business Ideas is a newsletter and a website. This page says what we collect and what we do with it. It is short because we collect very little.

The newsletter

When you subscribe, we store your email address and the date you subscribed. The list is run on Buttondown, a newsletter service, which stores the address on our behalf and records whether each email was opened and which links were clicked. Buttondown’s own privacy policy is at buttondown.com/legal/privacy.

We use your address to send the daily idea and nothing else. We do not sell it, rent it, or share it with anyone except Buttondown, which needs it to deliver the email.

Every email has an unsubscribe link. Unsubscribing removes you from the list immediately. If you want the address deleted from Buttondown’s records as well, email hello@dailybusinessideas.com and we will do it within a few days.

The website

The site is static pages served by Amazon CloudFront. It sets no cookies and runs no analytics scripts. CloudFront keeps standard access logs, which include the IP address, browser and page for each request. We keep those logs for 90 days and use them only to see roughly how many people visit and which pages they read.

Signing up through the form on the site sends your address to us. We email you a confirmation link, and when you click it we add the address to Buttondown, which delivers the newsletter. We keep a record of the signup (the address, when it was requested and confirmed, and the network address it came from) as proof that you asked for it.

Social media

Our posts on X and Instagram are governed by those platforms’ policies. We see only what those platforms show every account owner.

Children

The newsletter is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect addresses from them.

Changes

If this page changes in a way that matters, we will say so in the newsletter.
